Established in 2020, the Department of Entrepreneurship and Management at IIT Hyderabad is committed to advancing teaching and research across diverse domains of entrepreneurship and management, with a strong emphasis on innovation and interdisciplinarity. Our program curricula integrates perspectives from management, engineering, design, and social sciences to cultivate and strengthen an entrepreneurial mindset. We firmly believe that effective entrepreneurship education must strike a balance between theory-driven, practice-oriented and experience garnered learning focused on nurturing entrepreneurship and moving from the paradigm of job seekers to that of job creators. The department emphasizes on high quality research in entrepreneurship and management while furthering the knowledge within and in-between sub-disciplines through independent and collaborative research activities.
